Being a training facility, Medicare and Private Health Insurance rebates are not accessible for services provided by students through the JCU Psychology Clinic. Medicare rebates through MHTP’s are accepted for sessions with a clinical psychologist. For those ineligible to access Connect to Wellbeing , but with MHCP for groups, Medicare rebate applies for 10 sessions leaving you with an out-of pocket fee of $17.10 per session. Or $50 per session for self referral clients without a MHCP – no GP referral required. In situations of a mental health crisis, clients are to seek crisis emergency services from our local mental health crisis intervention programs.
